The area had been quite rich during the colonial era of history which marks the period between 1607–1776. The Kiskiack or the Lee House is the oldest structure that is there in the Yorktown Naval Weapons Station. There are several areas of housing at the NWS Yorktown. There are three housing areas that are enlisted along with 430 units.
